I called Dave and he told me to come on in and he would take a look at my car. When I arrived I told him that my check engine light had turned on a few days earlier. Dave was able to identify the problem in just a few minutes. He gave me an estimate for repairs right on the spot and I gladly left my car with him to be repaired. I needed a new shop to take my car because my prior mechanic had just retired after 35 years. My wife and I felt very welcomed as first time customers. Dave and Alex were both very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They did a great job repairing my Camry and I am very happy to say that I have found a new place to take my car for service and repairs. Thank you Dave and Alex for doing such a great job!

I can’t believe that I have not written a review for Dave. He is a capable and honest mechanic that I am so happy that I found a few years ago. I have been taking my 2010 Prius to Dave for a couple of years. He has taken care of all my maintenance including replacement of struts a year ago. He always delivers good work and on time. Today, I took my Prius to have him checked because the check engine light was on. He was able to accommodate me the same morning(lucky me). He hooked up a fancy scanner and diagnosed that EGR pipe needs to be replaced. As he called to get a quote for the parts, he found out that could be something Toyota will take care of. He went out of his way to call the closest dealership to confirm. Turns out that is something Toyota will fix. He gave me the contact info of the service advisor he spoke to. That shows he cares about his customers, not just making money. If you want a trustworthy mechanic who can fix your car, Dave is your guy.

Probably one of the best mechanics I’ve ever dealt with. Fast excellent service at an affordable family run shop. Not much more you could ask for. And to top it off, Dave and his family are such nice people. Don’t waste your time at the rip off dealers and bring your car here.

I am long overdue to rave about Dave Frost Automotive again. Ever since I started coming here, I have had nothing but fantastic service. Dave and his family run an honest, capable, courteous business that is second to none. He has saved me (er, my car) more than once and I am eternally grateful. If you get a quote for a fix somewhere else (e.g., a dealership), bring that info to Dave and he can likely do it for less. When my last car was finally pretty much beyond repair, he was honest about how much it would cost to fix (a particular type of fix he doesn’t do), and helped me decide that it was time to call it. I appreciate his expertise and counsel. This business is such a gem, a real rarity in automotive repair. Five stars at least!!!

We drove our Daewoo Leganza to LA to leave it with our in-college son. We had done our due diligence and had the car gone through eo ensure that it was in good mechanical shape. Unfortunately, the shop we took it to at home wasn’t able to get new parking brakes installed in time (the car had been dealership maintained, but Daewoo dealerships are now extinct). They never really gave us a good explanation for this; nevertheless, since we were on a timeline, we took off for LA.

So, we used City Search to find Dave. Dave made a complete assessment and spent time shopping for new parking brake shoes. Unfortunately, because Daewoo’s are themselves nearly extinct, brake shoes are hard to acquire and even then, quite expensive. So, we chose not to replace them at that time (I’m shopping for a reasonably priced set). Dave was not only professional he reminded me of days growing up in the 60’s when businesses would deliver great service for little or no cost. In this case, even though Dave had spent significant time on our car, he didn’t charge us a cent.

Our son will be servicing this car with Dave when needed. It’s also peace of mind for us to know that he has someone like Dave to take the car to.

Dave Frost Automotive is a family run business. This operation is very professional, knowledgeable, honest and always frank about diagnosis and repairs – no bull or upsell. I have been a customer now for about four years and always am appreciative of the excellent work and fair prices.

They have saved me so much money by being able to repair things that other mechanics said would have to be replaced at great cost. My speedometer cluster wasn’t operating. Dealer said I would have to buy a refurb myself and bring it to them to swap out. The whole job would have cost almost $2K. Dave looked into the issue, found a couple of faulty welds, repaired the welds and charged me a small fraction of the dealer estimate.

Having piece of mind with work being performed on one’s vehicle is priceless. Dave Frost and his family provide that without any doubt. You won’t find a more honest and knowledgeable auto shop.

All in all, Dave is just a good, honest guy. He keeps his word, shoots it straight, and doesn’t try to fool you. Which I really appreciate as a customer with next to no automotive knowledge.

My friend recommended this automotive place to me after I had some really bad experiences with other automotive places taking advantage of me and quoting me more than what my car actually needed. Dave was excellent! He did exactly what I asked, he was reasonable, quick, and fixed my car. I absolutely will be returning! My friend said he is the best mechanic he has ever had and I hope after multiple visits I can say the same!

My car had a severe oil leak. I took it to Culver city Toyota they did me wrong … i talked to Dave over the phone he said Rod .. Bring it in … I got you . He fixed my oil leak and fixed my lites which the dealer said 900.00 he replaced the bulbs and inspected the car and told me the very reasonable price . The man and his son were my blessing. Please know i like great awesome service and i was treated like family..
